Art At The Wreck - American Star ...

The ghost ship off the west coast ...A really famous ship, the AMERICAN STAR about which we have reported so much.

As we already wrote in our report in the beginning:

"She is really impressive. From the first moment, when you can catch a glance of her smokestack across the beach.

And then, when the whole ship slowly appears: She is lying as a stranded ghost ship in the dark bay and despite sunshine on this day, one can only imagine how it looks during different weather."

We try to capture exactly that mood in this piece: The part of Fuerteventura´s coast called "Playa de Garcey" with its own ghost ship is famous by now: Indeed, you can hardly resist the unreal atmosphere of this dark beach fascinating the visitor.

We also published stories about clear moonlit nights when the wind supposedly blows over from the Sahara and in which you can hear the desperate screams from the ill-faded dead on board. If that is no atmosphere which asks for suitable pictures - even though the Sahara is on the other side of the island  ...

And so we made them, the pictures of the ghost ship off the west coast of the Canary Island ...
